#133 Stripes

Leslie is hosting for us this time and she would like to see Stripes. Sadly this is Leslie's last challenge with us, and we will miss her, but we wish her luck in her new ventures.

Inspiration from the team

Leslie
The clear embossed diagonal lines were created with the Impression Obsession Diagonal Lines background stamp. I cut and inked strips of GKD 6x6 patterned papers and affixed them on the opposite angle. The hello die cut is from Mama Elephant.

Mary

The Tatty Twinkle images were coloured and cut out before attaching them to a background created from my stash of papers.

Vania

I've used some paper from the Joanna Sheen Thomas Kindaid CDRom and dies from Sizzix and Marianne to create this card for my son's birthday.
I have used two different shades of blue stripe papers from Buckwells Craft Supplies the image is a stamp that I have had for many years.
I used a home made stencil and a blending tool with some Tim Holtz Scattered Straw and Hero Arts Tide Pool inks to create some diagonal lines as a backdrop for my spring romance card.

Marlene
I used one of the new Candibean Stamps from Di's Digi Designs, different
makes of striped papers.

Sally
I have cut some strips of papers and glued them onto a square of backing paper to achieve my striped background. I have also used a sentiment stamp, a butterfly and some ribbon, lace and pearls.

I chose some lovely My Mind's Eye striped papers from my stash to compliment the stamped and embossed flower.

Bec
My lovely stripes are from Bo Bunny and older range - Back to Basics.  I fussy cut out the banners and frame from these papers as well.  I popped up the green balloon to give it all a bit of dimension.

Carole
I picked this card frame from Crafter's Companion Sugar and Spice CD, and teamed it with two of the co-ordinating striped papers!!

Lin
I used papers from Basic Grey for my Stripes, and an image from Sugar Nellie. Please see my blog if you want more details

Jackie
I've been playing with Serif a lot lately - my card this time was composed using Craft Artist 2, but elements of it were cut out and layered physically.  The butterflies were a memory box die and buttons were from my stash.

Sue

There are all sorts of stripes in here, some obvious, some not... the papers are from MME, which I have used with the stripe going top to bottom and the corrugated card where the stripe goes horizontally.  Love the pop of red against the white and neutral colour scheme!

#132 Love, Love, Love

As Valentine's Day is a heartbeat away our host for this challenge, Lorraine, would like to see your love themed creations. So love, romance, valentine, wedding or engagement will all be suitable.

This is the team's interpretation of the theme

Lorraine
I have gone for lots of hearts, I have used a new Tiddly Ink Love image, added sparkle dome embellishments, a stamped sentiment, the papers are actually from a Christmas collection

Josephine

I've used paper from the Joanna Sheen Ivory Cats CD and die cuts from Marianne and Sizzix to make a valentine's card with the traditional Be Mine sentiment inside.

Pamellia

For my Love creation, I decided to do a romantic garden theme using the most romantic colour there is...PINK! Lots of hearts, flowers and birds made with dies, clay and stamps.

Mary

I decided to celebrate the love between long married couples and the title of the stamp I used is called 'Flirty Seniors'.

Carole

I used DoCrafts' Valentines Selection and Love Sentiments downloads to make my card, where I have made the sentiment the main focus.

Marlene

I used Antique Papers from the Works. The Stamp is A Creative Impressions Heart embossed with Papermania Tinsel Silver Embossing Powder.

Leslie

I created an embossed and sanded background from dark pink cardstock which looks red in the photo. I used Stampin' Up! Six Sided Sampler stamp set with coordinating Hexagon punch to create the large hex shape which I embellished with twine and stacked buttons. The front and inside sentiments are from Leaving Memories.

Jackie
For my card I used an image and backing paper I found in my stash and stamped and cut out the bunting from red card to make my banner, which was "hung" using bakers twine.

Kimx
I have used a stencil from Dreamweaver for the background and stamps from the new Woodware catalogue for my card.

Sally
I have used some dies from Marianne Designs for the heart frame and some tag stamps from Inkadinkado. The papers are from Craftstyle, a Cheery- Lynn flourish die, some paper clay roses and embellishments from my stash finish my card.

Mine is another page for my art journal.

Sue
I've made an anniversary card for my Brother and Sister-in-Law who celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary at the weekend.  I decided not to go all cutsie, and went for an Eiffel Tower whic has been stamped and embossed, over a stamped and distressed postcard, and neutral papers.  This card would work well as an engagement or wedding card, or with a change of sentiment as a birthday card!

A wedding card for our love theme using these two cuties from The Greeting Farm coloured with Copics. A simple background to leave the images as the main focus.

#131 Combine(Merge) Two or more stamps using the masking technique, winner and top 4

I had to delete several entries into our last challenge as they were not combined/merged using masking, plus the odd one who entered 30+ challenges when our limit is 15! Please, if you enter a challenge, read what the requirements are first and also read their rules. We knew we would not be inundated with entries because it was a more particular type of challenge, but it was disappointing to have to delete several because people just hadn't read what the challenge was about.

Julie was our hostess for our combine two or more stamps challenge and she has selected her Winner and Top 5:-

and her top 5 are:
